OC Arts invites artists to paint for holiday season

Overton County Arts Council is gearing up for the holidays with an arts mixer and hosting several painters from the Upper Cumberland area to paint festive scenery from the first night of Christmas in the Country.

Leonardo DaVinci will be the featured artist with retired art history professor Carol Ventura presenting during the art mixer set for Thursday, Nov. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce.

Plein air painters are returning to Livingston’s Courthouse Square on Friday, Nov. 29 to paint the festive scenes of Christmas in the Country’s first night of events.

December also includes the return of Second Saturday Art Classes taught by Suzanne Smith on Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 10 a.m. and going until 2:30 p.m., with plenty of time to get ready for the Overton County Christmas Parade later that afternoon.
